(Yicai Global) Aug. 28 -- The share price of iFlytek Co. [SHE: 002230], provider of Chinese-language voice-recognition software and voice-based internet and mobile products, fell sharply, down more than 7 percent, in afternoon trading today.

However, its trading volume increased to more than CNY10 billion by 14:34 p.m. despite the share price fell to CNY57.48 (USD8.65).

As one of the most-traded stocks in the Growth Enterprise Index, the share price of iFlytek has doubled since mid-May this year.

In afternoon trading, the computer sector stocks performed well, rising 2.56 percent. However, the Growth Enterprise Index was up 1.56 percent, down from 2.18 percent in early trading.
