(Yicai Global) Oct. 29 -- This year's China International Import Expo will showcase more than 70 new models, including Honda Motor's and Toyota Motor's hydrogen vehicles, as well as the second-generation of last year's "flying car."

Audi will debut its electric concept car, and Mercedes-Benz will bring its new tractors, Tong Minqi, head of the automobile exhibition area, told Yicai Global. Slovakian AeroMobil's upgraded flying car will also be present, Tong added.

Shanghai's CIIE, held from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10, will have almost 60 car firms from 16 countries and regions at an exhibition area of 30,000 sqms. The selection includes vintage cars, new models of traditional carmakers, and futuristic vehicles.

Global auto companies, including Volkswagen, Tesla, and Toyota Motor, will also participate and the total number of cars on display will be boosted by up to 10 percent to 140 this year. German companies are the most numerous and Volkswagen has the biggest booth of all firms at 1,500 sqms.

Visitors get to try autonomous driving technologies as the CIIE will have an autopilot area for a maximum of 800 people per day.
