(Yicai Global) March 17 -- Huawei Technologies has brought out a new-generation smart home solution that runs on the Chinese telecom giant’s HarmonyOS operating system and is priced from CNY39,999 (USD6,300) for an 80-square-meter apartment.
The product has interactive and innovative scenarios and upgraded services, so users can enjoy a house fully connected through efficient central control and app.
The smart home solution is designed for all scenarios in a consumers’ life, according to Richard Yu, chief executive of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group.
Its central control consists of a control screen, an intelligent switch, and a smart panel that can control all home appliances, electrical goods, personal care and beauty products, furniture, illumination and sun-shading products, medical apparatus, and robots, he added, noting that its artificial intelligence environment function can match the environmental conditions.
The compound growth rate of China's smart home equipment shipments is expected to reach 21.4 percent to 540 million units in the next five years, increasing its value to more than CNY800 billion (USD126.1 billion) by 2025, according to data provider Statista.
Shenzhen-based Huawei has been coopering with over 1,900 partners to expand its production line, Yu said, noting that it already has developed more than 4,500 smart products.
The company has opened 64 brick-and-mortar stores in 43 cities since it released the solution last year, and plans to set up 500 experience stores nationwide this year.
