(Yicai Global) Oct. 31 -- Chinese telecom equipment giant Huawei Technologies shipped 66.7 million smartphones globally in the third quarter, up 29 percent annually, and claimed an 18 percent world market share.
This performance compares favorably with the 14 percent it took last year, according to Boston-based research firm Strategy Analytics.
The divide between Huawei and Samsung closed even further as the South Korean vendor shipped 78.2 million smartphones worldwide in the quarter, up 8 percent annually, but its market share only grew by 1 percentage point to 21 percent
