(Yicai Global) June 27 -- Chinese telecoms equipment giant Huawei Technologies has made over USD1.4 billion from intellectual property since 2015, it said in a report today.

The Shenzhen-based firm had a total 87,805 authorized patents as of the end of last year, including 11,152 from the US, the report reveals. It spent USD6 billion on other firms' IP between 2015 and 2018, with 80 percent of that going to American companies.
