(Yicai Global) Nov. 20 -- Chinese engineering firm Huadian Heavy Industries Co. [SHA:601226] has won a contract to build the first offshore wind farm in northern China's Bohai Bay for CNY434 million (USD65.2 million).
The firm penned a deal with Hebei Construction & Investment Offshore Wind Power Co., it said in a statement on Nov. 17. Under the contract, the listed company will construct single-pile foundations for 39 wind turbines and build the metal structure for Bodhi Island's 300-megawatt offshore wind farm in Leting County in Hebei province, the statement added.
