Honda Broke Its China Vehicle Sales Record Last Year(Yicai Global) Jan. 5 -- Honda Motor Co. [TYO:7267] and its partners sold a record high number of new vehicles last year.
Annual sales volume rose 16 percent to 1,441,307 units from 1,246,711 in 2016.
Honda's Chinese joint ventures, Guangqi Honda Automobile Co. and Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., sold 714,282 and 727,025 vehicles, respectively, marking increases of 9.6 percent and 22 percent, the carmaker said.
Acura's volume was 16,348 last year, more than double that of 2016.
