(Yicai Global) June 2 -- Heavy rains lashed south China's Guangdong Province yesterday causing waterlogging in several cities and grounding flights.
According to the provincial departments of meteorology and hydrology, heavy downpours were recorded in 16 towns in the province. The Guangdong Meteorological Observatory forecast that the rains would continue until June 5th .
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in the provincial capital of Guangzhou cancelled 37 flights and delayed 23 outbound flights yesterday.
The rainy weather also brought difficulties to anti-epidemic work in Guangzhou, which is carrying out a mass testing to curb the recent Covid-19 resurgence.
