(Yicai Global) Oct. 23 -- Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport plans to double its runway tally to four, Securities Times reported today.
The airport has not disclose when it will begin construction of the runways but aims to become one of a cluster of world-class airports in the Yangtze River Delta region, the report added, saying it expects to welcome 90 million passengers a year by 2030.
Shanghai Pudong International has five runways and is currently China's only airport with more than three, though the new Beijing Daxing International Airport intends to have five once complete.
