(Yicai Global) Aug. 20 -- China's leading laser equipment maker Han's Laser Technology Industry Group will provide processing equipment for the production of power batteries for the world's largest power battery supplier, Contemporary Amperex Technology, which will positively impact Han's Laser's business expansion in the new energy battery field.

The company recently received a letter of acceptance for a project worth CNY353 million (USD51 million) from CATL, the Shenzhen-based industrial laser processing equipment maker said in a statement yesterday.

The company will provide a variety of equipment for CATL's new energy battery production line, including laser die-cutting, welding and forming machinery.

This equipment is set to be delivered by the end of January under the agreement, per the statement.
