(Yicai Global) Oct. 27 -- Chinese theme park developer Haichang Ocean Park Holdings Ltd. [HK:2255] has formed a strategic partnership with the travel channel of e-commerce giant JD.Com Inc. [NASDAQ:JD], thus paving the way for the further expansion of its parks' online ticket sales.
Haichang Ocean Park signed the agreement with JD Travel yesterday, it announced the same day. The two will broaden their cooperation in such areas as brand promotion, product innovation, marketing activities and resource integration to further expand online ticketing for the company's theme parks.
After years of information system construction, it has basically completed docking with all major e-commerce platforms and established a sound distribution system for e-ticket sales, catering and hotel booking, and thus it is now ready to provide one-stop service for tourists, Haichang Ocean Park added.
The proportion of its online ticket sales rose to 27 percent of its total income in the first three quarters, showing a climb of over 10 percentage points on the same period last year, per the announcement.
