(Yicai Global) Dec. 4 -- China's Greenland Holdings is anticipating to receive about CNY4.1 billion (USD626 million) by Dec. 31 after a more than four-year process to finish South Korean Jeju Island's tallest building.
The 23,300-square meter Dream Tower was finished last month, the Paper reported, citing the Shanghai-headquartered project developer. The building has a Grand Hyatt Hotel with 1,600 guest rooms, scheduled to open on Dec. 18.
In 2013, Greenland teamed up with South Korea's Lotte Tour Development on the project. China State Construction Engineering was chosen as the main builder and construction began in May 2016. But due to local leadership changes, the undertaking was suspended and the planned height shrunk to 169 meters.
The Chinese firm's investment plans in South Korea are moving along slowly. One twin tower project in Seoul, first announced in 2014, has been suspended. But Greenland's CNY175 million (USD26.7 million) medical city undertaking on Jeju Island was restarted in May.
