(Yicai Global) Jan. 13 -- Troubled action camera maker GoPro Inc. would be "thrilled" to sell to the right buyer to improve operations, Chief Executive and founder Nick Woodman said at CES 2018.
"I would be thrilled if the easiest, most efficient way to achieve that was through the sale of the company to a bigger business that could really help GoPro shine," he told Yicai Global in an exclusive interview on the sidelines of the Las Vegas event.
GoPro dismissed rumors that it was actively seeking a buyer earlier this week, but Woodman's latest comments show it's not against the possibility of a sale.
The firm's preliminary financials for the fourth quarter show it anticipates revenue of USD340 million, down 37 percent on the year. The firm also plans to cull more than 250 staff and cut the CEO's salary to USD1, TechCrunch reported on Jan. 8.
The company will focus on cameras and mobile and cloud services in the future, Woodman added.
