(Yicai Global) May 30 -- Chinese carmaker Geely Holding Group, which has major stakes in Daimler and the Volvo Group, has revealed its first hydrogen fuel cell bus.
Yuan Cheng Auto, a subsidiary under Geely's electric commercial vehicle arm, unveiled the F12 through Geely's WeChat account yesterday. The bus uses about 7.5 kilograms of hydrogen per 100 kilometers and can run for about 500 km after 10 minutes of charging.
The firm also released details about its new pure electric bus, the C11, for inter-city trips.
Hydrogen is just one approach Geely will use to create new-energy vehicles, the statement added, saying the company will also look at using the fuel source in passenger cars.
