(Yicai Global) March 16 -- Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co.'s intelligent connected vehicle project will first be introduced in Hubei province in east-central China, the carmaker has announced.

Hubei Yangtze River Economic Belt Industrial Fund (Yangtze River Industry Fund) and Geely Holding inked an agreement on yesterday to establish long-term, close strategic cooperative relationships, official Hubei province news service Changjiang Daily reported.

Yangtze River Industry Fund is an industry promotion platform that operates as a parent fund that mainly invests in strategic emerging sectors such as new-generation information technology, new energy vehicles, energy conservation and environmental protection, circular economy and aerospace and aviation, public data show.

The fund has cooperated with Hangzhou, Zhejiang province-based Geely since 2016 in various fields such as entire vehicle and parts and components projects, as well as Internet of Vehicles, public information shows.
