Fourier Closes USD5 Million A-Round to Advance Rehab Robots

(Yicai Global) Feb. 27 — Fourier Intelligence Co., which provides physical rehabilitation via robotic exoskeletons, has secured CNY30 million (USD4.8 million) in A-round funding as it looks to further develop and commercialize its medical robots while forming a sector ecosystem.

Prosperico Venture led the series with support from Shenzhen Qianhai Fund of Funds and existing investors IDG Capital and Volcanics Venture, online news outlet Lieyuan reported.

Shanghai-based Fourier unveiled its first commercially available lower-body exoskeleton robot, the X1, early last year. It can be used in hospital rehabilitation programs to help paralyzed patients get out of their wheelchairs and learn to walk again.
