(Yicai Global) Nov. 29 -- A total of 67 pure electric buses in four models of China's new energy vehicle manufacturer Zhuhai Yinlong Energy Co., debuted on a special ceremony in Jinghai District of Tianjin yesterday. The company's new energy buses have been operating in 50 cities in China.
Yinlong Energy, department of transportation of Jinghai District and Tianjin Public Transport Group Co. jointly developed the buses debuted. The core battery features high security, high efficiency, heat-resistance, fast charging and long-life span, China News reported today. The development of battery technology may reduce the demand for charging stations, thus reducing operating costs.
Yinlong Energy buses also adopt lightweight body design, new materials and heat preservation properties. They are also featured with safety insulation design, intelligent electricity monitoring, battery detection alarm and other security systems.
A remote intelligent monitoring platform is also installed on the Yinlong Energy buses to monitor the operation of the buses in real-time with GPS positioning and wireless communications technology, and to improve vehicle safety and efficiency.
Established in 2009, Yinlong Energy mainly focuses on the research and development (R&D) and production of lithium battery and new energy vehicles. The company first received a total of CNY3 billion (USD454.7 million) investment in December 2016 from four companies, including real estate giant Dalian Wanda Group Co. and Dong Mingzhu, chairperson of Gree Electric Appliances Inc. of Zhuhai [SHE:000651].
