(Yicai Global) Feb. 28 -- Li Fanrong, once deputy director of China's National Energy Administration, has joined China National Petroleum as general manager and board member, his new employer said on WeChat today.

Li has previously held several key management positions at CNPC, the country's largest oil and gas supplier and a major oilfield service provider, and China National Offshore Oil, its biggest offshore oil and gas producer.
