(Yicai Global) Aug. 9 -- Online registration has opened for overseas journalists ahead of the second China International Import Expo that will be held in less than three months in Shanghai. 

The registration is open till Sept. 30 at media.ciie.org, the CIIE bureau told Yicai Global. More than 3,000 firms from 150 countries and regions have already confirmed their participation in the trade fair to be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10.

Foreign correspondents should first sign up on the website that will provide a confirmation letter and then apply for a J-2 visa to enter the country. Reporters from China's special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao, as well as the province of Taiwan, should make sure they log their home regions in the online form. Authorities will arrange group registration for domestic journalists.
