(Yicai Global) June 13 -- Foreign investors have a strong demand for yuan-based assets, having bought a net CNY168.8 billion (USD24.4 billion) of Chinese bonds in May, state-backed outlet The Paper reported Pan Gongsheng, deputy-governor of the People's Bank of China, as saying at the 11th Lujiazui Forum in Shanghai today. Total net buying has exceeded CNY500 billion this year.
