Ex-Worker Sues Faraday Future, Says It Turned a Blind Eye to Sexual Harassment Ex-Worker Sues Faraday Future, Says It Turned a Blind Eye to Sexual Harassment

(Yicai Global) Dec. 5 -- Faraday Future (FF), a company invested in by Chinese entrepreneur Jia Yueting, faces fresh trouble these days.

A former security guard at its headquarters accuses the company of ignoring her multiple complaints about sexual harassment by a network administrator and even blaming her for "inviting harassment," Sina.com reported Dec. 5.

The plaintiff, Genesis Reyes, said that FF cares more about the confidentiality of its electric vehicle programs than the safety of its employees.

FF shut down the security camera in the area where she used to work because the company was testing its FF91 prototype there. Once an employee lost control of the prototype and drove it backwards, bumping into another car, but FF ordered her not to report the incident, she said.

FF fired her after she lodged a complaint against Josue Alejandro Sanchez, Reyes alleges in her complaint, describing how Sanchez sexually harassed her over a period of several months this year.

Despite their knowledge of this behavior, defendants FF and G4s (Reyes's employer) failed to take proper measures and instead condoned Sanchez's behavior, Reyes asserted.

A spokesperson from FF declined to comment on the lawsuit, citing its ongoing nature.
