(Yicai Global) Sept. 22 -- Yang Jian, former vice president of Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies’ global supply chain, has joined artificial intelligence startup Denglin Technology as vice president of global operations.
Yang will be responsible for mass production, integration of supply chain resources, and refining operations to meet growing demand from clients, the Shanghai-based firm said in a statement today.
Yang has more than 25 years of experience in supply chain operations. During his time at Huawei he was responsible for the overall supply chain strategic planning and digital transformation of the company’s USD40 billion Network & Enterprise Business Group. Before Huawei, he was an executive at US tech giants Apple and Cisco Systems.
Founded in 2017, Denglin Technology develops graphics processing unit-based AI computing chips, and it has research and development centers in Beijing, Chengdu, and Hangzhou, as well as in Silicon Valley, according to its website. Its products have been used in many fields including smart driving, smart cities, and smart security.
Since its establishment, Denglin Technology has completed four financing rounds, including an angel round. The latest, Series A+, completed in February, and was led by Suzhou Oriza Holdings and Genesis Capital.
