(Yicai Global) July 7 -- Zhejiang Geely Holding Group [HKG:00175] published its June sales data yesterday. Geely's sales of new vehicles in June reached 89,000, increasing by 91 percent from the same period of last year and by about 16 percent from the previous month. Of these, the domestic sales volume reached 88,000, surging by 93 percent from last June. The total accumulated sales volume in the first six months of this year came to 531,000, up 89 percent year-on-year.
Geely has already realized 53 percent of its annual sales goal of one million cars, raising the target to 1.10 million.
The June sales data show that the sales of Geely's four models, Boyue, Emgrand GS, New Emgrand, and New Vision, all surpassed 10,000. The sales performances of saloon cars and SUVs were satisfactory, presenting a balanced development momentum. The sales of Boyue in June broke a new record, sevent straight times, reaching 21,000; the sales of Emgrand GS and Vision SUV were 13,000 and 11,000 respectively; the total sales volume of three SUVs reached 44,000, accounting for 49.9 percent.
As for the saloon car, Geely sold 16,000 New Emgrand vehicles, 8,218 Emgrand GL ones, and 11,000 New Vision ones. The sales of its four saloon car models topped the corresponding subdivided markets among China's all brands, it claimed.
