(Yicai Global) Aug. 29 -- Elon Musk and Jack Ma, the respective founders of Tesla and Alibaba Group Holding, will hold a dialogue at the 2019 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, which opened today.

More than 100 industry leaders, also including Tencent Holdings founder Pony Ma, will participate in the three-day event. Some 300 companies will hold exhibits, 50 percent more than at last year's WAIC.

Application scenarios for AI will be one of the main highlights for this year's conference, with themes including futuristic clinics, smart schools, city brains and AI parks highlighting the empowering effect of Shanghai's economic and social development.
