(Yicai Global) Dec. 17 -- A Brazilian unit of Chinese industrial robot maker Efort Intelligent Equipment has received a CNY152 million (USD23 million) order from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
GME Aerospace Industria de Material Composto will provide the London-headquartered carmaker's plant in southeastern Brazil's Betim with welding assembly lines to produce vehicles' rear and side body panels, as well as rear doors till September 2022, the Wuhu-headquartered company said in a statement yesterday.
The deal should have a positive impact on the Chinese firm's annual performance in 2021 and 2022, it said.
In 2017, Efort purchased GME Aerospace which counts Audi, Volkswagen, and General Motors as some of its clients, according to public information.
