(Yicai Global) Oct. 11-- Dongxu Optoelectronic [SHE:000413] will ply strategic cooperation with two institutes in Australia, mainly focusing on power batteries and graphene.

Dongxu signed the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation with the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials (ISEM) and the University of New South Wales (UNSW) respectively, the company said yesterday.

It will strategically collaborate with ISEM in fields like battery materials, stored energy and batteries to power electric vehicles. Dongxu will propose research and development (R&D) targets and provide matching funds, while ISEM will make laboratories, equipment, researcher and its proprietary technology available.

Cooperation fields with UNSW include buckypaper and graphene paper with high performance and conductivity, a super desiccant made from a graphene composite material and a super capacitor with high-energy density. Dongxu will also strike special agreements on joint R&D for each project with UNSW, it said.
