(Yicai Global) Dec. 19 -- Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Co. filed a recall plan with China's quality regulator and decided to recall 4,008 Dongfeng Peugeot cars produced from July 23, 2016 to Aug. 30, 2017 and all 5,008 vehicles made from March 15, 2017 to Sept. 23, 2017.
A potential safety hazard posed by a faulty fuel pipe configuration that may cause fuel to leak has prompted the recall.
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen will conduct a free check of the vehicles within the recall scope and replace air guide plates at the bottom of fuel tanks and worn fuel pipelines it finds.
