(Yicai Global) June 12 -- Chinese carmaker Dongfeng Motor today delivered its first fully autonomous shared van capable of using fifth-generation communications technology.

The Wuhan-based company plans to deliver a total of six of the vehicles, named Sharing-VANs, to the national marine laboratory in Qingdao, Shandong province, Wuhan News reported. The vans will deliver people and goods around the park.

Dongfeng began designing the vans in September 2018 and debuted the first sample car six months later.
