(Yicai Global) Jan. 11 -- Beijing Xiaoju New Energy Auto Technology, the electric car charging arm of Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing, is joining forces with Shenzhen Cheku Charging Pile Technology to construct a nationwide network of new energy vehicle charging piles, the Securities Times reported today.
The two parties will upgrade existing stations as well as set up new piles in multiple cities across the country, including Shenzhen and Guangzhou in southeastern Guangdong province, Haikou in southern Hainan province, Changsha in central Hunan province and Chengdu in southwestern Sichuan province, they said. They will also provide management and service systems.
Xiaoju New Energy Auto already collaborates with almost 500 companies, including the State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, carmaker BYD and telecoms firm China Potevio, to run 70,000 fast charging piles that serve more than 100 cities.
