(Yicai Global) March 25 -- China's biggest car-hailing firm Didi Chuxing has set a goal of completing more than 100 million trips per day within the next three years, which would be a more than threefold increase, The Paper reported, citing an internal letter.
The company will also strive to have over 800 million monthly active users within the same time period, according to the Beijing-based firm's internal document. Some 8 percent of all travel in China should be done by Didi Chuxing by then.
Last July, the number of trips that the ride-hailing giant facilitated every day was between 20 million and 30 million on average, President Liu Qing said at that time. But right now, the firm needs to restore demand that was hit by the new coronavirus epidemic early this year.
Maggie Fu, one of Didi Chuxing's five senior vice presidents, will be leaving the firm for personal reasons, the document revealed. The chief of staff and VP finance legal procurement joined the company in September 2015. Since the end of 2018, she also served as the general manager of its inclusive travel and service department.
