(Yicai Global) Oct. 16 -- The Boston subway system, which is the US's oldest at more than 100 years old, will soon feature China-made train cars that will be shipped to the city in December.
CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co. has successfully tested the first batch of subway trains manufactured by China with complete intellectual property rights in conformity with American standards, Chinanews.com reported.
The products match the Boston subway's maximum weight requirement of 34 tons per car.
A subsidiary of CRRC has also won an order for subway trains in Chicago.
