(Yicai Global) June 28 -- A court in Guiyang, Guizhou province, has initiated legal proceedings against Yuan Renguo, the former chairman of Chinese distilling giant Kweichow Moutai Group accused of corruption, according to People's Daily.
Yuan is charged with abusing his position to illegal obtain vast amounts of property. He was expelled from the Communist Party of China and removed from public office by local authorities for serious violations of laws and regulations -- or corruption -- on May 22 after serving as chair of the firm for nearly 20 years.
