(Yicai Global) Sept. 5 -- State-owned China National Complete Plant Import & Export Corp. Group, known as COMPLANT, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Institute of Botany will team up in a science and technology partnership in Xiongan New Area.
COMPLANT will take advantage of the institute's scientific research to build a botanical garden, carry out the ecological restoration of water bodies in Baiyangdian Lake, and sculpt the landscape in the new area, Cailian Press reported on Sept. 5, quoting Zhang Peng, vice general manager at the state-owned firm.
The import and export group was founded in 1959. It exports equipment and carries out international project contracting and industrial investment through eight wholly-owned subsidiaries, five holding subsidiaries and one branch.
The Institute of Botany was set up in 1953 and mainly researches efficient agriculture and ecology. It has 18 research departments, seven academic associations and five academicians within the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
