(Yicai Global) Nov. 7 -- Commercial Aircraft Corp. of China, better known as COMAC, signed agreements to sell up to 30 more of its regional ARJ21 airliners at Airshow China 2018.
Puyin Financial Leasing, a firm co-founded by COMAC, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and Shanghai International Group, agreed to buy 15 of the planes and expressed intent to purchase 15 more, Yicai Global learned at the event.
COMAC has now received orders for 528 of the jets from 24 customers.
The firm also agreed at the event to deliver two ARJ21-700 jets to Urumqi Air by the end of this year, and three more in 2019. That will make Urumqi Air the third domestic airline to receive the plane behind Chengdu Airlines and Tianjiao airlines.
COMAC has already delivered eight ARJ21s to Chengdu Airlines, which are used on routes from Chengdu in the southwestern province of Sichuan to travel to 20 cities nationwide, including Shanghai on the east coast.
Three ARJ21s emblazoned with the logos of Chengdu Airlines, Tianjiao Airlines and Urumqi also performed demonstrations at the aviation show, a six-day event that kicked off in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, yesterday.
