(Yicai Global) July 17 -- The largest lithium cell energy storage system built by Shenzhen Clou Electronics Co. [SHE:002121] in Beijing has been completed and put into operation after 45 days of construction, laying a solid foundation for the company's energy storage system stepping into the high-end market.
The 1MW/2MWh energy storage project built for Laffitte Castle Hotel in Beijing has been put into operation successfully, a company statement said.
As an application-class energy storage project designed for load leveling, the project was signed by the company with Green Energy Storage Technology Institute Co. in May and is the first energy storage power station completed and put into operation among the international procurement projects for 500MWh energy storage facilities, it said.
Shenzhen Clou will take charge of the design, equipment supply, construction and installation, on-grid adjustment and testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the energy storage power station.
The total bid price for the 50MWh energy storage project is CYN1.5 billion, accounting for 47 percent of the audited operating receipt of the listed company in 2016. The project will have a positive impact on the growth of the primary business and sustained profitability of the company, the statement added.
