(Yicai Global) Nov. 7 -- Some 115 global firms, including France's Danone, L'Oreal, US Dell, and Ford Motor, have already signed up for the third China International Import Expo before finishing the second one.

Britain's Jaguar Cars and New Zealand's Theland Farm Group were also in the group of companies that have penned agreements to join the expo in Shanghai next year with a booked exhibition area of more than 60,000 square meters, the event organizer said at a signing ceremony yesterday. Nine government-backed business bureaus, including those from Singapore, Estonia, and Italy, have followed suit.

Some 3,700 firms from over 180 countries are showcasing their products and services in an area of 360,000 sqms at the ongoing CIIE, said Wang Bingnan, China's vice commerce minister and the head of the CIIE bureau. Over 500,000 buyers have visited the site so far.
