World's Biggest Cruise Ship to Kick Off Bookings at CIIE World's Biggest Cruise Ship to Kick Off Bookings at CIIE

(Yicai Global) Oct. 28 -- Global service providers, such as Royal Caribbean Cruises, Decathlon, and Atos, will bring their latest service trade achievements to the upcoming China International Import Expo.

Royal Caribbean Cruises will start taking bookings for the maiden voyage of the Wonder of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship, at the CIIE, Chen Wenxuan, chief of the event's Trade in Services area, told Yicai Global yesterday. The Wonder of the Seas will set sail from Shanghai in 2021.

The second CIIE will be held from Nov. 5 to Nov. 10 with more than 3,000 participating companies from more than 150 countries and regions. The Trade in Services area will cover supply chain services, such as financial consulting, logistics, and testing.

SGS will showcase its fifth-generation wireless automotive testing lab, supposedly the first in the world, at the expo. The Geneva-headquartered company will offer certification services for technologies related to the Internet of Vehicles, too.

France's Atos, a worldwide information technology partner of the Olympic Movement, will display its connected coffee machine which takes orders via phone and offers remote configuration. Decathlon will showcase its homegrown robot which can introduce inventory to potential clients.

Some firms are tapping into demand created by the expo itself. Marseille-based CMA CGM will provide the event's food trading companies with advanced cold chain logistics by using Daikin Reefer's active controlled atmosphere technology to reduce the level of oxygen to keep goods fresh.
