(Yicai Global) May 25 -- A US unit of China High-Speed Railway Technology Co. will buy the intellectual property rights for a US railway axle system, boosting its safety operations.
Colorado-based Transportation Technology Center Inc. will sell the technology and IP rights to its trackside acoustic bearing system for USD4 million, the Beijing-based firm said in a statement.
The TADS technology monitors defects in vehicles' axles and it has been used to test bearings for railways in North America and Europe, and for high-speed vehicles and trucks in China.
China High-Speed Railway Technology Co. is a state-owned firm which provides core equipment, system solutions and intelligent services for rail transit.
