(Yicai Global) Oct. 16 -- Logicreation Information & Technology, the company behind Chinese talk show Luogic, is planning to list on Shanghai's new Star Market for innovative science and technology firms.
The Beijing-based firm began pre-listing training with China International Capital in December last year and will finish up by the end of this year, the Beijing Securities Regulatory Bureau said online yesterday, citing a document submitted by the state-backed investment bank. The watchdog did not disclose how much Logicreation plans to raise.
Luo Zhenyu, a renowned figurehead in China's financial sector, set up Luogic in 2012 when he delivered keynote speeches on various topics within the internet economy, entrepreneurial innovation and society as a whole. He founded the company two years later and released subscription knowledge app iGet in 2015.
A document circulated online in 2017 suggesting the firm had begun a pre-listing funding round at pre-investment valuation of CNY7 billion (USD987 million), but Luo denied its authenticity at the time. The file also showed the company earned CNY38 million (USD5.4 million) in the first quarter of 2017, on revenue of CNY151 million.
