(Yicai Global)May 15 -- China's mainland stock markets opened higher today, with a bullish farming sector, led by soybean producers.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.7 percent to 2,902.64. The Shenzhen Component Index added 1 percent to 9,125.27. The ChiNext Index advanced nearly 1 percent to 1509.45.
Soybean farmers logged the largest gains among other upstarts including meat-substitute makers, industrial hemp firms and ethanol fuel. Companies in the fields of precious metals, aerospace and aviation failed to jump on the upward trend.
