(Yicai Global) Aug. 25 -- Chinese stock markets opened up today after Chinese and US chief trade negotiators were reported to have been talking over the phone this morning.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.21 percent to 3,392.88. The Shenzhen Component Index advanced 0.19 percent to 13,692.47. The ChiNext, which tracks growth enterprises listed in Shenzhen, opened 0.1 percent higher at 2,687.29.
Chinese Vice Premier Liu He, Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin have held a phone conversation on strengthening macroeconomic policy coordination and implementing the phase-one economic and trade agreement, Xinhua News Agency reported today.
The two sides agreed to create conditions to continue pushing forward the implementation of the trade deal.
