(Yicai Global) March 25 -- Chinese handset maker Vivo Communication Technology has opened its first concept store in Shenzhen, the hometown of industry giant Huawei Technologies.
Vivo Lab displays the Dongguan-based firm's products in an interactive way, as consumers can immerse in an around 30-minutes designed visual journey at the store, Yicai Global learned at the opening ceremony on March 22.
The firm spent two years preparing for Vivo Lab, honing its design, inspired by the aesthetics of spacecraft. The store covers over 890 square meters.
Offline images of mobile phone retailers are homogeneous, and Vivo is seeking to be more recognizable and popular, Xie Yisi, the design director of Vivo Lab, told Yicai Global.
