(Yicai Global) Nov. 26 -- Chinese mainland stock markets started higher today as investors anticipate new inflows of foreign capital to enter after MSCI increases the weighting of Chinese shares in the Emerging Markets Index after today's close.

The Shanghai Composite Index began 0.22 percent up at 2,912.52. The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.37 percent to 9,662.41. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth enterprises, climbed 0.26 percent to 1,667.78.

MSCI will boost the weight of existing large-caps and add a batch of mid-caps to take mainland-listed shares' overall weighting to 4.1 percent in its EMI.
