Chinese Shares Open Lower After MSCI Boost

(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- Chinese mainland stock markets began the day down as investors locked in profits after MSCI increased the weighting of Chinese shares in its global indexes. 

The Shanghai Composite Index started 0.06 percent lower at 2,905.40. The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.35 percent to 9,643.11. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks Shenzhen-listed growth enterprises, edged down 0.47 percent to 1,671.15.

MSCI raised the inclusion factor for large-cap shares to 20 percent from 15 percent and included mid-cap equities in its global indexes with an initial inclusion factor of 20 percent after the market closed yesterday.
