(Yicai Global) Dec. 14 -- ORG Technology, a Chinese packaging maker that mostly supplies to Red Bull, has bought all of American counterpart Ball's factories in China for USD225 million.

Ball Asia Pacific and Beijing-based ORG penned agreements yesterday, the seller said in a statement the same day. The deal includes the sale of three whole companies and a 95.7 percent stake, all of Ball's holdings, in a fourth subsidiary, and is expected to close in the second half of next year.

The local government holds the remaining shares in the fourth firm, which is based in Hubei province. The three wholly owned units are based in Beijing, Qingdao and Foshan.

ORG said it expects the acquisitions will allow it to improve customer service in the two-piece can market and generate revenue from alternative sources to reduce its reliance on Red Bull, the buyer said, adding that this should enhance profitability.
