(Yicai Global) March 27 -- The former Beijing residence of Lin Baishui, a Chinese press pioneer, has been turned into public Chunshu Library that also carries historical exhibitions.

The government of Chunshu subdistrict reconstructed the dwelling that used to belong to Lin, born in 1912, who busted many scandals and in effect, was killed by a warlord.

The library has 15,000 books and is open to the public every working day.

The venue will host cultural events, such as those for poetry reading, calligraphy writing, academic lectures, and music performances.

Visitors may also appreciate the adjacent garden.
