(Yicai Global) Jan. 25 -- Chinese firm Dawn Polymer Material has secured technical authorization from Kraton Performance Polymers, one of the world's largest players in the copolymers sector, to use its elastomers when manufacturing automotive interior materials.

Dawn will use styrenic block copolymers, Kraton Performance's exclusive product, as a raw material for its production, under a two-year supply and authorization deal, the Shandong-based firm said in a statement.

Kraton Performance will grant Dawn Polymer Material access to the exclusive production technology for flexible skin car interior décor through the agreement.

The technology can be used in the car door trim panels, center consoles and instrument panel flexible skins. It provides an innovative lightweight solution that is environmentally friendly and cost-effective, the statement said.
