(Yicai Global) March 25 -- Lizhi’s signature audio content will soon become available in Enovate Motors’ pure electric vehicles, the Chinese online audio community operator said yesterday.

Lizhi’s user-generated content and copyrighted audio will be streamed in Enovate’s second model, the ME5, which should start deliveries next month, it added.

“Through this cooperation, our podcast platform Lizhi Podcast will be integrated into Enovate's operating system as an in-car audio product to provide premium podcast listening experiences for drivers,” said founder and Chief Executive Officer Lai Jinnan.

The podcast might become one of the best formats for in-car entertainment in the future and the firm expects to co-operate with more automakers, he said. The company already signed a similar deal with electric car startup Xpeng Motors in December last year.

Enovate released its first intelligent electric vehicle, the ME7, in 2018 with a starting price of CNY218,800 (USD33,500) but has yet to announce sales volumes.

Lizhi [NASDAQ:LIZI] tanked 9.52 percent yesterday to close at USD7.79.
