(Yicai Global) Dec. 2 -- China's delivery sector enhanced its competitiveness last month to the highest level in almost two years on the back of the Black Friday-like shopping festival Double 11.
The logistics performance index rose 4.7 percentage points to 58.9 in November from a month earlier, the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing revealed today. A figure above 50 signals expansion.
Chinese consumers celebrated the annual shopping event by buying more than before as many e-commerce firms, including Alibaba Group Holding and JD.Com, increased sales.
China's logistics sector is benefiting from the warming-up of the nation's economy, said Cai Jin, vice president of the industry association.
The country's warehousing and storage index climbed 3.5 percentage points to 54.4 during this period.
