(Yicai Global) Oct. 19 -- Chinese factories harnessed more of their potential capacity in the third quarter than before as the country's economy recovered from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The industrial capacity utilization rate was 76.7 percent, the National Bureau of Statistics announced today. It had been 77 percent a year ago and has usually been hovering close to 80 percent in the past few years.

The rate was 74.4 percent in the second quarter and 67.3 percent in the first quarter.
